Teachers:

shira Shira Johnson got hooked on yoga 7 years ago doing a video at home!  She couldn't help but notice how amazing it made her feel, so her curiosity led her to study more. She has completed two Yoga Teacher Trainings over the last 5 years, and has continued studying with advanced teachers (including Manouso Manos, Andrey Lappa, Jason Moring, Kofi Busia, Ramanand Patel, Karl Erb, Tony Briggs, Lisa Jo Landsberg).  Most of Shira's training has been in the Iyengar method and in Universal Yoga. Shira has also studied movement, anatomy, and the mind-body connection in other genres, such as studying Shiatsu Massage at the San Francisco School of Massage, and beginning a graduate school program in Somatic Psychology at the California Institutue of Integral Studies. Shira feels that nothing has transformed her life in a more positive way than practicing yoga. It has helped her fight depression, experience a level of physical fitness unmatched by any other physical exercise, relief to chronic back pain, and overall gives her life a sense of contentment and strength. Her dream is to spread this education to increase health and happiness in her community and beyond.
